Spring is Almost Here
I'm hoping many of you kept training through the winter. The holidays typically bring great food, time with family and a lack of exercise and training. As firearms owners, we need to be vigilant in our training not only to stay proficient and safe, but because our loved ones are the ones who will look to us in times of need. For those of you that trained outdoors most of the year, the winter made it difficult to practice. Remember that you don't need ammunition to train. Dry fire practice is a great way to stay in top shape.
As spring approaches, keep up with your training. Learn new techniques and attend new schools. Always try something new. For those with CCW permits, think about new and better ways to carry. Ask yourself if your clothing is the best for a quick and smooth presentation from the holster. Do your clothes prevent outlining your firearm? Can you carry with typical spring clothing and be comfortable driving, walking or even jogging? With spring quickly approaching, get back into training and maintain your exercise routines. Good, consitent training will make you safer and proficient with your firearms.

If you have comments about anything written in the owner's column, or if you have any questions about handgun shooting you'd like discussed, please feel free to email me.
